samuel loves the computer... he loves the bright screen along with the sound of his hands pounding on the keys. joy!

well, today involved a wide range of events. friday and sundays are dave's off days although most of the day took up writing the newsletter. well, if felt like most of the day.. you know, 10 minutes turns into 5 hours.

one of my favorite shows is diners, drive ins, and dives. i'm not exactly sure why, all i know is that i love seeing yummy food that isn't within MY reach! well, i was wondering when we would finally see one of these places in kansas city that we could go try. well, today was the day! ma's 39th street diner was the place that it featured today and we were off. not a bad deal! probably the price of perkins for homemade yummyness! dave got exactly what was featured on the show which was corn beef hash and a deep fried cinnamon roll and i got pancakes. the deep fried cinnamon roll was probably the best! it was all probably on the ok level for both of us though. we concluded guy fieri really does a good job of talking up the food on the show. it was fun none the less:)

then we made a stop at the barnes and nobles where dave read about the military special forces for almost an hour and i read some alton brown cookbook. samsam was expired so the ride home existed of samuel zonked in the back with dave teaching me everything he had just learned... don't ask me to teach you!

btw.. dave's nonexistent tooth is doing much better. it's still a little sensitive, but at least he's not swallowing blood anymore!
