someone asked me yesterday what i have learned so far in motherhood?my answer was that there is no such thing as a good diaper! and it is TRUE! they all leak! i was leaked on twice yesterday... TWICE! i don't think it's normal, maybe our boy just has really POWERFUL movements... inherited by you know who;)
however, if i had to give more of a serious answer i would say that i'v learned a different kind of love. i love that little boy no matter how much he barfs on me, poops on me, pee's on me, cries all day, and no matter how many times i have to stop what i'm doing to feed him! i love taking care of him. i'v always wanted to be a mom and it's everything i hoped it would be and MORE! way more! it's not that i love him more than dave; i love him differently.
sometimes (ok.. a lot of the time) i feel like i'm not really doing anything. BUT, today i was reminded that i'm shaping, molding, raising, teaching, and loving a person that will live forever. what i'm doing right now WILL have impact on the world. now, i'll probably forget it in about a day or two... but it's good to be reminded of what you are REALLY doing.
so, happy mother's day! the hubby made me a tear jerking card and indian food. YUM! best mother's day i've had so far!:)
