i feel like mr. sam sleeps more than the average baby. i'm always thinking 'when are you gonna get up and play?' i'v noticed that motherhood is extremely lonely. i'm at home all day by myself with a baby that is sleeping his life away! it's pretty hard to get out because samuel will NOT sleep in his car seat and needs his crib. i could go out, but then i just pay for it later with a cranky baby. BUT, when he's up... we play and play and play. he's getting so fun:) although, i think i've created a baby monster because if he's by himself he starts crying... what have i done. so, now we're working on having alone play time for 10-15 minutes. he cries for a couple of minutes and then eventually realizes that it's not that bad.
lately i've had these moments of missing being pregnant. it's incredibly strange! like my body is telling me 'have more babies', but my realistic brain is like 'are you kidding?' don't get me wrong i want a lot, but i'd like to actually fit in my normal pants before i have to go back in the trash bag looking clothes again... wow, as i say that it sounds totally vain..lol. ah well. just a little break can't hurt no one:)
sorry for this boring post! i can't think of what the heck i blogged about before... probably other boring stuff!
ALTHOUGH.. here's something for all you cookie lovers out there. i've been making these really yummy cookies that are in dave's grandma's cookbook a LOT lately. they are delisious snickerdoodle cookies!
here's the recipe:
mix together...
1 cup butter (the recipe says crisco but...)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
sift together and then add to the mix above...
2 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
chill, roll is balls and coat with a 2 tbs sugar/2tsp cinnamon mixture. bake for 8 to 10 min @ 400 degrees. you'll never look back, there so good:)

I love those cookies! My favorite :)
Can't WAIT to see him again! Hey, you know what? I'm Samuel's ONLY aunt (for now anyway)!
Grandma would be SO happy to know you are making her cookies. :)
And it's funny that you actually miss being pregnant. I didn't think you liked it. :) But that's fine with me, because I'm already thinking it would be nice to have a little NIECE!
i liked it when i wasnt sick, didnt have hack aches, or uncomfortable. and if i could have just taken it off every once in a while that would have been nice too!:)
And next week he will be here for me to spoil-I can't wait! Grama
